Advise on my LTA

It does look a bit more blue in the pic then it really is. I will try and take a new pic with a flash and post it tonight. Though it sounds like TDESAULNIERS is on to something "The white you see in the tentacles is the aftermath of the anemone after it expelled the zooxanthellae algae or possibly the blue dye that was injected into it" because the lower tentacles are white and the tips are blue.

I did get this guy in a LFS and it was listed with Purple LTA's.

I hope its not dyed because if it is, I paid way too much.... My fault for not researching first I guess, but if it is, I just lost a heck of alot of respect for the LFS. But I will wait to be sure before I make that judgment.

Great idea Greech, I will do as you suggested. Fingers crossed...

Good news! Anenome took a foothold at some point yesterday. I feed it some cyclops-ez and blood worms which it ate up quick. Seems to me this is a good sign.
I tried to take a new pic, but the blue just kept standing out. I guess I will keep a close eye on it, keep feeding it and hope for the best.

Glad to hear it! As he gets stronger ( a couple meals will go a long way) he'll dig down further into the sand and get a really good grip. Good luck!

4 inches is a good depth. Hopefully it will bury almost all of his base, attach the basal disc to the bottom of the tank and stay put. If it wanders, something is amiss. Water quality would be a first concern, general health of the anemone after all its recent transitions from collection in the wild, followed by water flow (LTAs generally prefer gentle/moderate flow), lighting, some other creature irritating it, etc.
