I have the standerd 120g 48"x24"x24", with a 4-1/2" DSB . I plan on making it sps domonant , with a few lps and clams in a pair of lagoons. I want to put montis on the bottom half and the outside of the laggons .and put acros on the top half of the tank . I like being able to make water go in opposite direction via wavemaker .
Your help and advice will be much apprecieted !:)

Either use two 6000 Streams and a Multicontroller or 2 7400/2 Electronic Turbelle and a multicontroller. I use the 7400/2 right now and have a similar set up to what you describe. I would like to have 6000's but they are in somewhat short supply at the moment. Both would do a good job for what you describe. This is my tank:

what is a multicontroller ? I toughtn the 6000's couldn't be used on any wavemakers?
thankyou for the speedy reply!:p

Any Tunze pump referred to as Electronic has a little computer attached in line- these include 7100/2 7200/2 7300/2 7400/2 and 6000 and 6100. The computer has a 5Pin Din interface that a Tunze controller can be connected to which enables the pumps to accelerate and decelerate through a programmed speed control. You can also use this controller with the right adapter for the 2002 and 4002 classic pumps. You can mix or match up to 2 pumps on a single controller or 8 pumps on a multicontroller.

I was just at the tunze site , and it Looks like a nice setup . Pretty expensive , so I'm a little nervous about getting it . What is the warrenty on them , I couldn't find it there ?
Thanks again

All products are 2 years- doesn't cover water damage or neglect though. They are very well built. Ask around, they are honestly nearly hand made and in very limited numbers. It is not your typical taiwan powerhead. In general you will find that the service is good and if you were to have water damage somewhere down the road we can get you just the parts required, no need to buy a whole pump. Tunze built their first powerhead in 1961, we haven't been in business this long for doing shoddy work.
