Affects of dropping po4 too quick on sps

10 days ago my po4 was 0.34 then I added a 2nd bulb to my ats & today po4 is 0.09. Is that too fast a drop & what side affects could I see?

I really don't see how adding a bulb to your fixture could have lowers your p04 level. I would think your test kit is false unless there something else you did.

Well double light covering the screen better improved the lit area for the turf to grow. Test kit is a elos high resolution kit.

more algae growth = more po4 uptake ....


if you did remove TOO MUCH po4 too fast, SPS would start to die from base up.

if not, yu have not removed too much to stress your corals. which is good

0.39 to 0.09 in ten days from and ats? I highly doubt that. That is one large *** swing.
