African Anthias?

Hi, is there a good Anthias Fish Database somewhere? I was diving recently in E Africa and next to the Lyretail & Evansi there was another common anthias... the females were "drab" tan/green but the males were like a green Male Lyretail with orange highlights. I'm trying to find out what species this is... anyone?

Thx!

That could be it... wow, looks so bad in pictures but 30+ feet under it was amazing! I wonder if these pics are bad or if it just doesn't look the same under our lighting...

Aquarium pics of this fish suck. They look gorgeous in the wild...

Thx, yea I can't find any good pics. If you run across any pls let me know - considering special ordering. I "think" they would get along with Lyretails

i dont think you would have to do any special ordering as they are a pretty common fish. I seen them in toronto, and they only cost like 19.99 each. I would imagine the prices to be close to that in the states. From what i read they are rather aggressive.

huchtii- I agree with Peter, pictures of this species in captivity never do it justice. But check out the large males typically seen in the wild, they are stunning IMO.

This is a rather aggressive species, so be careful if adding with other anthias.
