After the storm....

Bummer. Immediately following the storm, I thought that I had escaped any damage at all after going several hours with no power in my tank and the subsequent drop in temp and flow that I experienced. I have several newer SPS frags in there now and thought that they all made it, but now it looks as though I lost that little fast growing acro I got from fade and an A. valida frag I got from someone on the SPS board. Both of them would have little tiny green polyps that would extend out all the time, but I'm not seeing those at all anymore and they are both just becoming a pale brown color. Now, I know that my water chemistry and flow is not optimum right at the moment, but it's not that bad and the other acros are hanging in there pretty well. Could be worse, I know, but still kinda sucks. Is there any hope of these guys coming back given their current looks?

is there some food or chemical you can throw in there to pep them up?
or you think they are already dead?

i'm just throwing out noobie ideas...

I tossed in a pork steak, beans, and a beer, but I don't think that helped. They may have been upset at the lack of potato salad. :D

Not sure. I'm working on getting the hardware and chemicals to start more religously running carbon and phosphate remover. I need to do a water change and boost my Mg. So I know have some areas that need help.

Do they have pork steaks in Illinois? Thought they only cooked properly if they were in South City? THAT'S the problem! ;)

MayoBoys are good for the long haul.

I dunno, he smelled like he'd been left out too long the last time he was over here.

The thing that is concerning me is where there were the little green polyps before are just small little white things...like dead polyps. Just sucks 'cause the little guy had finally encrusted his rock I mounted him on really well and was branching out.

HEY NOW - I'd be offended if it weren't true. See, I hadn't taken a shower in 2 weeks.

I was going to Troy and wanted to fit in...

:D
