AGA92 Corner Reef Tank Build

wow thats crazy, i freak out when i find more then one on the rocks. check your parameters and see what you can do about getting some of the emerald crabs, i manually remove them by rocking them back and forth, i bet it took me 15 times untill i was good at it.

Yep, but try not to pop them. That is a crazy amount of them. Maybe back off the phyto a bit. Too much nutrients in the water column? Glad to hear things are not horrible! :) :)

I agree, bubble algae is pretty easy to remove from the rocks using not much more then your hand.

I broke a few before I got the hang of it, everybody does.

http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1505179

I had alot of help, I stole a few Ideas from other corner tanks so feel free to browse, like I said our tanks arent easy but you seem to be doing well, I look forward to more from your thread & hope to see you in our club...

Kara and I, mostly Kara, manually cleaned all of the bubble algae off the rocks that we were able to remove from the tank.

We didn't get the rocks back exactly where they were originally but we're very close.

Now were going to keep the lights off on the display tank for a week and run the refugium light 24x7 to prevent whatever spores made it into the water column from taking root.

No sign of the two emerald crabs, I wonder what happend to them, maybe they eat themselves to death.

Tomorrow we're going to put the Koralia's in a vinegar bath and start working on cleaning up the 10g Nano.

Pictures to follow...

Added our first fish to the AGA92 today! :D We picked up a large green mandarin, the high dorsal fin leads me to believe it is a male. It has been hiding at the back of the tank behind the rocks after being acclimated.

Also performed a test for copper tonight due to the mysterious deaths of two cleaner shrimp and two emerald crabs. See the following posts for more info. <a href="http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1561900" target=_blank>Here</a>, <a href="http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1561899" target=_blank>here</a>, and <a href="http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1561908" target=_blank>here</a>.

No color change (clear liquid) on the American Pharmaceuticals Inc. Copper Test I bought today; which I read as being zero copper.

Now to find the other specimens for the first wave of livestock additions... We're having a real hard time finding a shrimp and goby pair. We're reconsidering the jawfish as well. A few people have told us that the Chromis would be to aggressive so we've removed it from the list until we hear otherwise.

That leave us with the following for fish:
Royal Gramma Basslet
Pair of Black and White Ocellaris
Whitecheek Tang
Kole Yellow Eye Tang

Can anyone suggest any other species to add to the above?

why a white cheek tang instead of the white face tang imdb?
The reason we went with the White Cheek Tang was because we saw one while in Las Vegas and liked the look of it. We then researched it and determined it would be compatible with our environment.

The LFS has one (or the other) in their display tank, but I'm sure I can talk the owner into selling it to me when the time comes.

Looking at the pictures of the White Face Tang on Google, I believe he has one of those, not the White Cheek Tang. Both look very nice and we would be happy with either. Now that I'm looking at both, I can't remember which one we saw in Vegas, we just found a picture that looked the closest to what we saw. :)
