AGA92 Corner Reef Tank Build

i have had a clown fish eat a huge chunk of food it took him a couple of days to get back to normal, then again it was a GSM and those things are tuff to kill.

Here is what is in the tank now:
- Snails (Astrea, Margarita, Cerith, and Nassarius)
- Cleaner Shrimp
- Two Emerald Mithrax Crabs
- Green Mandarin
- Blue Spotted Watchman Goby (<a href="http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1637943" target=_blank>if he makes it</a>)
- Royal Gramma Basslet
- Pair of Tomato Clowns in a Green Bubble Tip Anemone

We were thinking of adding the following next:
- Foxface Rabbitfish (Siganus vulpinus)
- Kole Yellow Eye Tang (Ctenochaetus strigosus)
- Whitecheek Tang (Acanthurus nigricans) or Powder Brown Tang (Acanthurus japonicas)

We've been having a hard time finding the Whitecheek or Powder Brown.

The online store we get our live stock from has an Indian Ocean Mimic Tang (Acanthurus tristis) as well as the Foxface and Kole Yellow Eye Tang in stock.

My question is, would the Mimic Tang be okay with the Kole Tang if added at the same time?

Hehe, ya and mean as all get out... :)

I looked for him this morning with a flashlight as the lights were out but he's pretty good at hiding and hard to see even when the lights are on. Hopefully he makes it...

Slight algae issue with the tank... :strange:

However, the LFS had a Fox Face Rabbitfish so we now have a new warrior in the fight against algae...and he's already eating! :D

Learnt something new today...Foxfaces turn brown when stressed.

It was cleaning the rock that the Royal Gramma is in and the Royal Gramma didn't like that too much so she chased the Foxface away. It's now cowering in the corner and is trying to blend in with the rock by turning brown.

We've turned the lights out again, it was dark for 18 hours but I guess that wasn't enough for him. He's been in the corner for the last half hour trying to make himself blend in.

So we'll leave the lights off now until tomorrow at 10 AM.

Can't wait until the algae bloom is beaten into extinction...was looking at some of the coral we want to get this morning...

Not that I'm intentionally trying to do a theme tank just like the looks of those.

So that's probably $1000 worth of frags...when the time comes. :)

alot of those zoas names are incorrect. I mean you can call them what you'd like, but some are worth quite a bit. For instance, the last green palys are called nuclear greens and sell for around $10 per polyp

I've found that there doesn't seem to be any common naming (or pricing) between most places selling zoas. Those names are taken from one of the few online frag stores in Canada. Those names are good enough for me. :)

:) Thanks, but we haven't ordered anything yet...waiting for the algae to go away first.

Should start dosing with vodka next week.
