Age in relation to size

I have two ocellaris (as far as I can tell) Clownfish. They seem to be "dating" (Male does the "clownfish waggle" they are never more then 6 inches away from each other, they sleep within 1/4 of an inch from each other(usually touching), etc.). I've had them for about three months, and have hopes that they will mate. The male is about 1 1/2 inches and the female is about 2 inches (I'm assuming based soley on their size and the slightly darker coloring of the larger one that they have made the male/female establishments. My question is is there any way to determine their age based on the size? Also at what age are clownfish generally able to begin spawning?

I have so far in my searching come up with an answer to neither question and would very much appreciate any answer, even a guess would help me out.

Thanks so much!

most fish are around 2-2.5" when they start to spawn. In the wild size is not a good indicator of age as the dominant pair will keep the sub-adults from progressing. in the aquarium I would say around 1.5-2 years old.

Thank you so much! Hopefully that means I have at least another 9 months to prepare for baby clowns. :)
