PMed you back. It would be an honor.

Could you try once more? I didn't get it.

My Newest Addition

My Newest Addition

Flashing Tilefish just arrived yesterday. I am told they can be difficult so fingers are crossed.

Mine jumped ship after three weeks. Mine spent a lot of time hiding prior to that so I have no plans to replace it........

agent great tank

agent great tank

I've lurked many times over this thread. GREAT TANK>
Great new addition( tilefish) Its been one of my favorite fish for over 20 years, I've had them many times, don't be surprised to see that little bugger sticking his head right thru the hole in your mesh.

I've had purple/flashing and have not needed a dedicated tank.
;)

Tilefish is still doing well. I moved it out of QT into my fuge early as I read that they need sand. Felt it was healthy enough to take the risk. Seems less stressed in the fuge and started going after mysis today despite 3 other fuge mates as competition.

I am waiting on another set of rails to come back from powder coating and will go with a smaller mesh net this time. Don't think much can fit through the smaller mesh.

nice build man , but did I see you with a blue spotted rabbit fish, if so you are putting clams in there. mine decided to eat many of my clams and SPS. that fish took the highway to another tank.... good luck if you have him in there with your reef. its not REEF Safe

What mesh will you be using?

Chad

Hi Chad-

Good to see you around! I have some pond netting that I picked up a while back. You can get it at any pond shop. It is still very thin polymer weave.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience. I got rid of mine recently because it suddenly developed a mean streak and tried to kill my potters wrasse. FWIW I have had several over the years and none have touched my clams or coral. As a group, I would def consider rabbitfish to be reef safe but each fish is an individual.

Just a guess, but your tanks probably lean forward due to the rock being in the back and the water being heavier than the rock. So when the tank is full with water and rock, the rock displaces the heavier water making the back (since most people put rock toward the back) becaomes slightly lighter.

I think you have this backwords, if water were "heavier" (denser) than the rock then the rock would float not sink to the bottom.

Wow, I've been away from RC for way to long!

Tonight I was wondering how Edwards tank was doing so I did a search for his old thread...

I was disappointed to see he had to tear it down but atleast the story had a happy ending.

Glad to see your now running the DreamReef Eric!

Belated Congrats? :)

Ive been a fan of Invincables tank for a long time and I have to say you're doing it great justice. Its amazing to see what a person can do with the exact same platform. Your aquascaping looks amazing man! Keep it up!
