Aggresive reef peacock mantis shrimp

I was thinking of doing a 180 gallon reef with multiple mantis shrimps instead of the usual cleaner shrimps in aquariums.
i already have a 180 gallon tank
i was think of making it a reef mostly sps and lps

peacock mantis shrimp pair
occelaris or tomato clown pair
arc eye hawk
indigo dottyback
banggai cardinal
green chromis
niger trigger
yellow tang
longspine urchins?
brittle stars?

Don't spend too much money on the fish. The mantis is pretty well known for eating them. Pretty efficient at it too.

Yeah mantis are mean, they'll kill your inverts and then your fish. Also, peacock mantis shrimp need a dark tank because they tend to develop this disease, don't remember what it's called but you can go onto the mantis shrimp forum and look around for it.

Its known as shell rot. You will have more luck posting in the Mantis Shrimp forum

The mantis will kill each other before going after anything else. They only pair up briefly to mate.

No way man can't pair mantis especially peacocks and be careful with the kind of fish you put in be willing to lose them. Even if the Mantis doesn't kill them certain fish can get your mantis or make him very reclusive.

I actually have two damsels in my peacock tank and they surprisingly get along very well.

Also The mantis will wreck your corals. Plus you gotta watch out for them breaking the glass, there is a way to put shock absorbers on the tank tho I'd suggest going on the mantis shrimp forums.

lol assuming the tank is bigger that 20g they wont bust a tank.

Don't put more than one mantis in.

Anything in the tank is a right off.

Trigger might kill the mantis.

I have a lps reef for my mantis and it's pretty damn cool. The fish are hit or miss.

I keep 2 Blue Damsel fish in the tank with mine and he isn't reclusive at all. One of the damsels even sleeps in the rock where he is. But the crabs that I put in there are toast!! LOL!!
