Aggressive B/W O.clowns

So I have a pair of black and white ocellaris. They have just recently started to host a small rbta. The smaller one was the firs to host. And now the bigger one has started hosting and beats up the smaller one if they get near it. Bigger one also has become hyper aggressive and is unrelentless in chasing/shaking/nipping the smaller one. So bad that I couldn't watch it anymore and put it in a breeder box. What can I do to help it calm down? How long do I leave it in the breeder box till it calms down?

Also I woke up at 5am and took a look at my tank to see my clown a faded dirty brown color while sleeping in the nem. Does this happen to anyone else? He looked so awful I thought he was dead and had to poke him. After he swam a little he darkened up to normal color.

how old are they? sounds like they are becoming mature and the dominace fighting starting again.

keeping them seperated right now is a good idea. given enough time they will work it out and the female will settle down.

So the kept on fighting till last week when I had enough and put the smaller one in a breeder net for a couple days. I released it back in and now they are hanging out like best buds. So if anyone else has these problems just try splitting them up.
