aggressive hawkfish

I bought a six line wrasse the other day, hes about an inch long, and put him in the tank. He was doing great, swimming around and such. But the pixy hawkfish, about 2 in long, is giving him hell. He hides in the rocks and pops out to bite the poor six line. Now the six line can barely swim straight, and his rear fins are shot. What can I do? The hawkfish is well fed, so its not like hes hungry or anything.

ive moved the six line into a floating breeder cage. He doesn't look to good. Need help quick

Sorry to say this, but you have to decide which fish you want to keep. I had the same problem with my Hawkfish and finally got rid of him because I couldn't add any other fish.

My hawk was the nastiest fish I have ever had. Had to bring him back to the LFS. Terrorized anything new to the tank eveyr time I looked at the tank most of my fishes fins had half moon bite marks torn of them.

well the six line is a gonner. :( The hawk just ate too much of his rear fins, and he couldn't swim anymore. Even when he was in the breeder basket the hawkfish would come up and hit himself into the side. I feel really bad. Of all the fish I've bought, only one has lived, and now he has to go because he is too aggressive. I've had much better luck with the corals, which are supposed to be harder to keep than fish!

Does anyone have some suggestions for good fish? I'll take the hawk back and start fresh, since he's the only fish I have.

Royal Gramma is a nice fish for your size of tank. Somewhat Ick prone so I would QT first. Percs are nice as well.
