AHHHH! I've got crabs!

My Pink birdnest has a crab, a small brown hairy crab!
There are a couple small white patches in the centre of my birdnest.

I can see him munching away but i cant get it. Ive tried shaking him off, and a pair of tweezers but he just hides down in the centre and i cant reach him.

Dont want to break my nest in half to get him off, is there a dip or someth'n that will make it wanna leave or die without harming the coral?

Sure it not an acro crab? As it got a line across its face? If so they are symolic to the coral..

If its brown and hairy and the fact youv'be seen it eating the coral and consequently there is bare patches then I'd remove it. Get the coral out and use a barbeque skewer to poke it out. You may end up killing the crab. I've had good and bad acro crabs. This one seems like a bad one. You can chuck him in the sump if you get him out alive.

Yes i also have a pure white crab with a black "eyebrow" on another acro, who i was told was safe.

The one I'm worried about is the brown one, he's so small i poke at him with a tooth pick but he always gets away from me, and birds nest is just that, so many branches packed so close together.

Its become a game and I can hear the crab laughing at me. Maybe if i get a friend and 4 toothpicks we can corner him!
