AI Hydra Settings Thread

Newe70, Very nice makes me want to add one more to my tank. Love the love AI Ext look. What size is your tank again? or should I say how long is it?

I'm more than pleased to have three than two Hydras. The oem ext railing systems made the top looked more opened, cleaned, sleeked, more sexiness to the rimless tank, IMO. It is a 48"x24"x20".

Check back in the various pages for a treasure of info. I think pages 170-190 had a lot of settings for both SPS & LPS.

I have a 72" long and 36" deep tank with 4 Hydras getting some very nice growth al the way to the bottom, but I have a problem with shadowing in the middle of my pillar rock structure, what do you guys recommend me to do to fix it besides getting 4 more fixtures.

Getting 4 more Hydra fixtures is out of the question, even probably adding 2 more is just too much right now

I was thinking of getting a buildmyled 72" LED fixture ($389) and mounting it in the rim of the tank angled towards the rock structure.

The other option was a 2x54 T5 fixure ($200) mounted on the front angled towards the back of the tank. The tank will look good but the fixture on top will look ugly next to the hydras

THX in advance

Here is a drawing of my problem and some pictures of my tank.

I am running regular hydras and a hydra 26, I don't have a 52 but you should be able to figure out your ideal settings from all our posts. Start off low.

I am not using Google the real time weather because I was getting rain for a straight month so I am only using the location timers. And instead of acclimation mode I use increased cloud cover.

Is it the same setting as the hydra and hydra52? I am trying the setting based on yours ?

Does it look ok ?
