AI Hydra Settings Thread

I am having the same issue with 3 52 HD's on my 180. Two are the same color royal blue and the other is WAY off. Customer service said they had changed suppliers of the LED's - based on serial numbers, they are able to tell. They are sending a replacement. UGH!

Does anyone know what this means in the layout option? Also when I double click on one of then it shows a fan, the other doesnt.

Hey all, I'm hoping to get some recommendations on light settings. I have a Nuvo 38 and one Hydra Fiftytwo (controller) at 9" AWL. Running in 20% acclimation with a 2hr ramp up time starting at 9am to 9pm. I'm moving from a Evergrow IT2020 that I had running at about 50%

Nuvo Mini 38:
Length: 23.62"
Width: 19.02"
Height: 19.02"

CW: 20%
V: 40%
RED: 15%
Green: 35%
D-BLUE: 55%
Royal: 75%
UV: 25%

Any help would be appreciated.

I have a 65 gallon tank. And I would ha e required two, but I supplemented my Hydra 52 with T5s. I tried one and it was not enough.

Ask and you may find out, don't ask and you will never know.

I have a 143 galon tanks with 2 AI lights, wich would be the best setting for it? And which would be a nice setting for the night time?

Measures are:
57 lenght
29.5 depth
19,7 high

Thanks for the help !

I just ordered a Hydra 52 HD for my 50g bta dominated tank. The current lighting is 2x 14K 175W MH. It was time to replace the bulbs again and thought it was time to go LED and save on my electric bill. Any recommendations on how to acclimate the btas to the new light and what settings should I use? Thanks.

Going from 2x175W in a 50g you don't need a long acclimation period. If you're going with a 14k look I'd go with a small percentage of acclimation and short period. Like 20-25% for a month. I have a SPS dominated tank and I came from 2x150W+2x96W PCs+ 2xReefbrites on a 90gallon with 10% acclimation for a month. If you see any signs of distress just adjust accordingly.

Im currently running 2 hydras
The current settings are:
White 65
Uv/violet 60
Royal/deep blue 100
Red/green 40

Just ordered 2 hydra 52 hd. Should I set up the light schedule same as old hydras or should I lower levels at first.

I just upgraded to the HD's as well. They definitely seem brighter and the blues are completely different colors there's now blue and royal so it seems to me running those at 100 may be more powerful than the previous blues. I'm acclimating mine at 25% for a month to be safe. I didn't like the same schedule with the new colors so I had to completely tweak it to get a look I liked. I do feel the colors pop more with the new colors. Hope this helps

I'm running 2 Hydra 26HDs and love them. I was having some issues with coloration and I read through the EcotechMarine article about their LEDs and recommended settings based on their research in an aquaculture facility. I did the calculations based on converting the Radion LED settings to the Hydra and have been running the AB+ copy for about 3 weeks and I'm starting to see some great coloration from a few corals that never had any color since putting them in my tank. Below are the settings I'm running.

11:30 - 9:30 (1.5 hour ramp time)

UV 118%
V 118%
RY 100%
B 100%
G 36%
DR 36%
CW 24%

I also upgraded to the HD's. But wow did the cords get shorter or what? I'm going to have to find a new way to connect these to my wall or apex. My tank is 26" high and the cord does not even reach from their mounted position 5" above the water to the the bottom of my tank stand.

I'll post my settings as soon as I figure them out. I upgraded from the 52's.

So can we see some pictures and what colors are you seeing come out of what corals?
