AI Hydra Settings Thread

yes they were, but they didnt ask me anything about them. so they didnt really know that they were under warranty. i just sent an email saying my RBs were out and they asked for my shipping address

I upgraded from a vega to the hydra 52, was a pretty simple upgrade that only took 15-20 mins. Reading back through the thread, I'm using a much lower intensity than most. Ran my Vegas for almost 2 years so my reef is used to LEDs. Hydra's have been on about a month I guess.

Peak values are:
UV - 35%
V - 35%
DB - 50%
RB - 45%
G - 17%
R - 7%
CW - 10%

To me it looks quite like a 20k Phoenix bulb. I also have it running a 30% acclimation for 3 months just to make sure I go slow.

Here's a link to my light file if anyone wants to try it https://www.dropbox.com/s/8gg3rbwnj2wjo3y/52%20ver%202.aip?dl=0

Edit:
Added a couple recent pics to show colors.

Are those peak values after the 30 percent increase or before?

I set those values then did a (correction) 20% acclimation for 3 months. I won't hit those values until sometime in march.

8" AWL It's an SPS dominant tank so I have SPS everywhere. Chalice on the bottom, sticks from there up. Some only 3" below waterline.

Thanks, you have a beautiful tank.

I'm surprised how well your sps is doing with the lights running that low on whites and blues.

Thank you for everyone's help in the past 3 months while I've had the Hydra 52s. I've just sold them because of a tank upgrade and I won't be able to afford two more, so I'm going another path. Gonna miss them for sure.

Just looking for suggestions here.

Switching over from a 180 with three sols at 60% and 4 80 watt t5. New tank is 48x24x16h w two hydra 52

Just started Current hydra 52 settings acclimation 50% 6 weeks

Cw 30
v 50
r 50
g. 50
dB 75
rb 90
uv 50

Lights about 14" awl due to shallow Tank.

What you all think

Good to see others using there R&G

Just tell them the truth and hope for the best, if not try going from your PC to the site, I cant see the rest of the parts pages from my phone but when I saw them I was on my PC.
Glad to say that AI is going to not only replace my royal blues but also send me all new all new LEDS and boards!! Great customer service right there... proud to spend a little more for quality support!!

Totally off topic.......... with the director, if I double click on the fitting within the Layout tab, my Hydra goes into party mode and shows the fan turning, although I'm not sure what selecting the GROUPS does?

that's so you can identify the light, otherwise you will see fan and temp status. You can add lights to different groups if you have more than one tank, or if you want only one light to do something different.

How do you check for the fan and temp status on the Director? What is ur current setting on the cloud effect? I have never play around with it before. Thx.
