I followed your advice, Wazzel. I set everything to 70% with a 2 month acclamation @ 25%

I do not run 70% across the board. Here are my settings

White 89.00%
Royal Blue 100.00%
Deep Blue 100.00%
Violet 100.00%
Ultra Violet 84.00%
Red 72.00%
Green 78.00%

Now that's what's going to grow some sticks.
Im up to 35% on my R&G.
My acro frags are showing nice growth.
Cant wait to get to your settings.

Hello, just checking into my new club! owner of a new ai hydra 26 with director, have it over my 20g shallow reef.

Im running mine very blue, but with alot of pop with red and greens. whites are only at 10% currently. need to get up some pics with an accurate camera sometime but i love my lighting!

Seeing great results with my 2 x 26---52---26 combo over my 84x42x30 tank and figured I'd reshare my settings and two tank shots to show progress:

Schedule has been pretty consistent (few very minor tweaks) throughout this time-period.

Here's a link to my schedule if anyone would like to try it:

stunning tank, love everything about it! your settings are pretty close to mine with mine just having blues at 100, your corals are not only showing great growth but fantastic coloration.

Very nice tank. Love the layout. Makes me wish for a big tank again.

Thank you!

Anytime I try to run my blues at 100%, I see a negative reaction in the corals, even with a slow acclimation. Getting good color and growth where it is, so I've stopped trying.

I've had the same thing happen with UV, so I've just left it where it is.

Thanks, Wazzel.

Where is your flow coming from.See no pumps

All of the pumps are hidden on the left side of the tank. There is a false back with black egg-crate and the pumps cycle on/off at certain times to create a gyre or both sets are on and it's pretty chaotic flow.

Zibba, how high are the fixtures from the water level?

About 12-14" if I remember right, but I'm considering raising them up to around 2-2.5' to see if I can get a little better coverage. And, just an FYI, my tank is 30" deep.

There's room to play with the % of light (as you can see, I run whites pretty low compared to some); and, I've recently visited two local tanks (one 900g display, which is 36" deep, and one 540g display, which is 27" deep) that are running AI Sols (the originals) at over 2' over the tanks and they're getting great color and growth in their mixed reefs.

I have some dark spots that don't really cause a problem right now, but I can see it becoming an issue in the future. I'd like to try raising the lights before buying additional lights.

Let me know if you have other questions.

Set to 14k
I'm still adding sps so I'm notation a point to get alk 100% locked down but I'm still getting good growth and color.
I really need a par meter. Please try the 14k setting and tell me your feed back on the color on your tanks. Thanks

Love this tank! Lots of good light spread too. Great idea with the pumps!

Hey zibba, great looking tank!!!

Thank you both!

Wanted to make a correction and give an update: I was wrong when I said the lights were 12-14" off the water; they were only 9" off the water. I raised them to 12" off the water last night so I'll see how the corals react. Just the extra 3" helped with the spread.
