AI Hydra Settings Thread

Ok sorry to bother you again Orcus lol, the settings transfer funny.

Are the blues supposed to be at 100% or at 90% on the 12" profile?

Thanks again

Picture update

using Orcus Varuna's light schedule with 2 Hydra 26HD over my 55G

What eye candy! Alot more than light settings go into a tank getting that kind of color and pe! Great job @bucfan

I kind of hope my settings are at least partly responsible though haha [emoji12]

Thanks! Yes your light settings helped a bunch. Before that I was struggling trying to find the right balance.

I've figured after trial and error that keeping things simple works best. And patience above all, that's the most difficult part. In this hobby we all expect miracles overnight but that's not the way it works.

I was about ready to give up on these Hydra's till I found this light schedule. I've only been running them a few days now with the new settings but things look so much better. Think I'll keep them a while longer and see how it goes before I swap to T5's........

I asked this same question previously. No way yet to change the whole program all at once. You have to pull each one over individually. Def stinks for sure.

Hello guys
First, thanks for the schedule :-) ,I find to move all the schedule on phone or tablets just put 2 fingers like zoom and move right or left all the schedule move ;-)

I finally found this thread over on Nano Reef of which I'm a regular on the recommendation of another reefer. SO glad to have found some recommendations finally as Red Sea has never responded.

I set up a new RSM Series E260 in December and my nems and sps are all on strike now as a result of not knowing what to do with the lights. They were in a Biocube I retro fit with Dave's Nano Box Duo and were thriving until they went into this tank! Sadly the nems are all dark and unbubbly. By reading here I determined that because of the added depth they are not getting the light they need. Trying to set everything to your recommendations Orca. I now know my Monti is too low and I don't have enough rock in there to boost it up. Also, the birdsnest is also closed up, so I will go get some more live rock in order to lift them both up.

Anyway, thanks so much. I guess I should have been checking here all the time. Hope its not too late for these babies!

Here is the old tank and the new set up...as you can see the monti in the old tank was almost right at the surface...I guess I have starved it of light:hmm2:

So sorry to fowl my post up, but way different from the other site I use...
There is no Edit button for me to take the wrong file images off.

And under the FOQs I am trying to follow the upload instructions but cannot get it to work.
