AI Sol Blue?? Intensity questions...

I have two AI Sol Blues on a 72 bow. I am just wondering if my intensities are too high?

RB - 60
B - 65
W - 35

Of coarse they are not at this intensity for the full photoperiod but for about 7 hours they are.

I am just wondering if this is too high.... I had 8 64W T5's before switching to the LED's... I have bleached two corals so far, they were hard corals, and they came from someone who was running MH. idk if it was the LED's or just the transition....

Wish I could help. I just put 1 over my 60g cube (about 2 1/2 weeks ago) I started them all at about 35% for 12 hours. It is now up to about 48% on each channel and all seems great. It hangs about 10" above the water.

Were the ones that bleached directly under the fixture? Is the fixture stock, with the 40 and 70 degree lenses?

I have 4 on a 48" 75gl and I started at 30% and increased by 5% per week. Never lost a coral yet. I have them at 50% and do not have any plans to raise them any higher.

I started mine in the thirties range and upped the intensity 5% per week until I got to the 60-70% range for the peak power level. I have three units over my 75g.

Did you jump straight to these levels? If so then yes they are too high. I don't care what corals came from, switching from one light to another always takes adjustment period and these AI are notorios for frying corals if you go to fast. Most, myself included, start around the 30% mark and slowly, slowly, did I mention slowly work your way up.

Yeah i did go straight to the 50 mark... I didnt slowly acclimate but i didnt lose any corals when i did that, it was when i just added the new corals in to the tank, those are what i lost...

I only have one AI White andit begins at 8:20am W10 B30 for 1hr ramp 10am W50 B70 for 2 hours ramp, my peak intensities are now 12:15pm W70 B89 ramp for 2 hours then 3pm they drop to W60 B85 ramp for 2 hours then at 530 pm i have it at W40 B80 and at 6:30 W10 B40 til 830p then down to W0 B3
