aimimg streams

I'm trying to figure out how to aim my streams upward, I have a 6060 and a 6080 in my 125 and need to aim at least one of them upwards. Neither the mounting kits that came with the pumps or the magnetic mounts allow you to aim up. Has anyone come up with a way to do this besides the tunze rock?

Try a search on this topic as a guy on here figured out you turn the magnet holder a bit so it isn't level and it angles them up and he had a pic.

I dont know if this helps you , but I lifted the bottom part of my magnet (one inside the tank) off the glass and stuck a small piece of light difuser between the magnet and glass. Its been two weeks now and they havent fallen off.

As Roger said, if you use the magnet holder and turn/move the magnet at a slight angle, rather than the magnet being straight, the stream output will be directed upwards.
Depending on how much you angle the magnets, the flow hitting the surface could be quite turbulent.
No need for putting anything under the magnets to angle the stream upwards.

aladdin---that doesn't happen (at least not on mine) sometime the easiest answer is hard to come by.
sullyman--- what about turning the whole thing upside down? I have lost the screw that holds the arm too the magnet. so I have not tried that yet... of course, then the mag-set will be alot lower in tank. (some people would not like that)

Charlie, not sure what screw you're talking about. I've thought about turning the mag mout sideways to be able to angle the pump upwards but I'd still have to prop something in it to keep the pump in place. But if the pump got loose it would then be pointing down and that could be a disaster. I'm really surprised Tunze hasn't addressed this issue, it's the only real negetive thing with their product. Even the Seios have brakets that can be modified to aim just about any way.
I'll try a search later for mods but if anybody has an idea, please share. I've got 2 in my 125, it's only 18" wide so I need to aim one up or I'm hitting corals with 2 much direct flow or blowing the the sand and low lying zoos and stuff with to much power.

Gee wizz, dont let them add any more to these things, the 2 6000 ive got take over the tank,- till my rocks come.
yeah you can tilt them on the magnets, be carefull they sure will burst that surface for you, and cover your lights, Tunze do mention in the manual not to tilt them incase they slip.
Mine deffinately agitate the surface 5/6 " down.
The screw hes talking about is a nut and bolt through the centre of the mounting to tighten the pump down a bit, mainly for the bigger streams.
good luck
