aiptasia are detaching (b/c increased flow?)

So, I am not complaining but A LOT of my little pesty aiptasias are detaching and I am either netting them out of the water column or plucking them off the sandbed. I used a long coral feeder pipette to pluck 6 of them off the sandbed just this morning.

I definitely have less of them, I am just curious why they are detaching and all the other corals are just fine (or better).

I just replaced my return pump 2 days ago to much more powerful one so there is definitely more flow in the tank. Other than that, I am not sure why so many of them are detaching. All my other water parameters are fine except maybe Mg which measure over 1600+.

The only other thing I can think of is I have a Lawnmower Blenny -- he seems to pick at everything so not sure if he is picking them off.

Did they just start doing this in the last 2 days? If not its unrelated to the flow..
They can move if they want to..

Did you try asking them? I'm pretty sure they speak Greek so you may need to use a translator..

Like I said, I am not complaining that they are detaching. I picked out 4 yesterday and 6 today off the sandbed. And 1 additional one floating around in the tank.

On Monday, I replaced my return pump with a much more powerful one (almost 2x stronger). So there is now more flow and turnover. Not sure why that would impact the aiptasia detaching.

I can't think of another reason why they would move themselves off the live rock into the sandbed.
