Aiptasia Control

I use it and it doesn't affect anything unless it gets on the corals. Be sure to follow instructions and turn all powerheads off in the tank before using Aiptasia Control. It's the same stuff as Joe's Juice, but a little thicker.

How big is the container?

I've used it. Much better than Joe's Juice IME.

The trick is, after you use it, keep the pumps off for at least 2-3 hours. Put a small powerhead in your tank for surface agitation during that time period.

Per my experience. If your aquarium is over 30-40 gal (thus more room to err)... you can just use kalk up to 2 syringes before each water change to get rid of these pests. The key is self-control, do not get excited and go overboard or you will O.D your tank. Do it one water change at a time. I've done this sucessfully and it works.

*I just throw 30-40 gal in there as an example of water volume. Just be prudent according to the size of your aquarium.

I've used pepermint shimp in 3 of my nano's & have been aptasia free. Had some pretty big aptasia & the shimp took care of it. I had the chance to watch them pick the aptasia out of the hole it was in & they just keep picking at it & eating it.

Ditto

I've tried 6 peppermints and Joe's Juice w/ no luck. I must have at least 150-200 aiptasias in the tank. It's getting ridiculous. I will definitely try the kalk. Will the kalk work on the big aiptasia though?

vinegar in a syringe worked for me. just jab and pump aptasia full of vinegar. otherwise, keep trying peppermints til one works. went thru three peppermints til one took care of all the aptasia. maybe i should sell it as a proven aptasia eater.
