Aiptasia Patrol (cont.)

Ok, so I got myself an "applicator" (syringe) -- my little friends are very easy to get at, as they are attached to the aragonite "plug" under a soft coral (capnella sp.) that is currently in QT. My questions: what to zap 'em with (vinegar, kalkwasser, ???) and exactly how/how many doses, etc.? I'd like to maximize my chances of success. Thanks for your input.

I've used vinegar successfully, depending on how big the aip. is, little ones take almost nothing as long as you jab the needle right into it's 'mouth'.

I took a good amount of Kalk, added a but of water to make a paste, then added more water slowly until it would flow. I injected thast once, until it poured out of the beast. Never been back!

Make USRE to clean out the syringe, if the Kalk dries, you can't use it again!

i hear lemon juice/concentrate works well. But your best bet is to buy a couple peppermint shrimp. For every aiptasia you CAN see... there are probably 3 you havent spotted yet! :)
