Air bubbles on live rock?

Hey guys, I've got my first serious question. About 2 weeks ago, my live rock finally started growing a good amount of coralline algae (at least, I'm pretty sure that's what it is). Within the past 3-4 days, I've noticed air bubbles coming out of my live rock. Is this something normal or should I be concerned?

That cyano medication they sell at the stores works wonders...and fast. It costs about $18 for a little bit of it...but that little bit will treat your tank many times.

The stuff worked so fast for my tank that I suspected that it was very strong and could be dangerous if you don't do the water change, as directed, after treatment. Therefore, I watched very closely and made sure not to exceed the directed time before changing water.

Yes you dont have to treat it but its the easiest and fastest fix, if you dont want to put meds in the tank look at your lighting how old is it. and do you keep the light on for long periods of time. also Phosphates PO 4 , DOCs (Dissolved Organic Compounds), and nitrates NO 3 are primary nutrient food sources for red and other slime algae.
also Carbon Dioxide CO 2 Low water flow or movement throughout the aquarium produces carbon dioxide CO 2 , which algae consume.

What kind of flow do you have in the tank? Sometimes just increasing the flow with another powerhead will solve the problem without chemicals.

The tank is a 29 gallon. I've currently got a 6' power compact light setup over the tank (I know it's overkill, but the light was just sitting waiting on me to set up the 125gal). I normally leave the day lights on for about 8-10 hours a day and the blue/purple light on for an hour before I go to bed. I'm using a Fluval 404 filter and a small powerhead on the other end of the tank. I stopped and got some Chemi-pure yesterday and bought a metal halide setup off craigslist Friday, so I'm going to set the filter up today with the Chemi-pure and change the lights out also.
