Air Bubbles

Hello--As I have stated before I have a bad case of HA. It is dying and turning brown. I am now getting air bubble in the tank. My return pump and PH are not the cause. No bubbles coming from there. It is on the back glass and all over the HA. Is there anything to be conserned about. Jerry

If the algae has bubbles trapped in it, it might not be algae but could possibly be Cyano bacteria or Dinoflagellates.

The best way to deal with either is to maintain good water quality by frequent water changes with RO/DI water. You should also siphon out as much as you can. There are some chemical treatments, but they can be dangerous if not done correctly and the stuff will most likely come back anyway.

Hello-- I always use RO/DI water and do reg. water changes. I also try to vacumn out as much of the stuff as I can. I am going to do water change soon and will see what I can do.
I looked this am and the bubbles seem to be gone or at least a lot less of them. Maybe it has something to do with the lights. Will watch what happens today after the lights come back on.
Thanks for the help --Jerry
