Air Conditioner for cooling

I am looking for ways to cool my tank and reduce humidity.

As of current, I have 2 fans running almost all the time and my Tank temp swing from 78.8 to 82.4. I would like to keep it around 79F. I have 2 fans running almost all the time, as a result, the fish room is pretty humid. I also have a Bathroon Ventilation in the fish room running 24/7. It helps but seem not enough. you can see my setup in the gallery

I have been running de-humidifier but those things put out a lot of heat.

So, I am looking into Air Conditioner, similar to the ones in this link

Let me hear your advice and experience.

Can you vent the dehumidifier out of the fish room?

I saw Mike Hurley had hooked up some contraption that pulled the heat from his chiller away to another room.

The back of the dehumidifier is where the hot air vent out and thus i don't know of a good way to hose it out. Another things is that the fishroom is in the basement and maybe hard to vent out unless I open the window.

Bascially, took a 12" square piece of acrylic, cut a hole in the center of it, put some weather stripping around the outside edge to get a good seal and screwed the acrylic right onto the chiller case. I put a muffin fan on there that pulls more air than the chiller puts out, hooked up the venting pipe...Hooked the fan and the chiller onto my temp controller, so as soon as the chiller turns on, the fan turns on...sucks the hot chiller air right out and I punch it out of the house. You could do the exact same thing with the back of a dehumidifier. Works pretty well.

Mike,
Thx for the picture. It is a good idea. If I vent it out of the window, isn't then I have to open my window 24/7?

Anyone any thoughts on the Air conditioner??

Well, I'm lucky in that my fish room is near the outside wall of my house, so I simply cut a hole out of the house...just like a dryer vents.
