Air in the system

I changed out the pump on my system and got air in it. It pumped my reef full of small air bubbles for a couple minutes before I got it fixed. I I knew this is bad but I had never experienced it. The coral are not pleased at all and most are shooting off mucous threads including my clam. I am assuming this will pass and there is nothing I can do except turn off power heads to not exasperate the problem.

What are others experiences with this? If any?

I wouldn't worry at all. I have had a bunch of air pumped through a return on a number of occasions.
