air lift for prop system

what do you mean by info?
i run a tank with airlifts but it is filled with microbubbles and it is VERY noisy. the tubes are 32 mm dia and the injection dia is 8 mm. 2 of these tubes are run with an airpump of 40 Watt.(6000 lph) I run this on the tank as it is a temperate tank, and there is no heat from pumps. I do have to turn it off at night cause off the noise.

A airlift is bacially like the old under gravel filtration setups. You have a large, 1 in or bigger, extending down neat the bottom of the tank. You insert a airline from the top to just above the botom of the big tube. The column of rising air creates a current that pulls water up the tube. You could build a open sided box that sat on the bottom of the tank to lold the tube. You can get quiet air pumps if you check around.

well i have a very silent airpump, that doesn't bother at all. it is the noise of the water and bubbles splashing at the surface what makes noise. I must admit these things create a wicked amount off flow.
