Alarm keeps sounding

Hi There

I've run out of ideas in trying to work out why my alarm keeps sounding. I have turned the sound off so as to not drive the family mad.

I only have a temp and PH probe and the alarm is disabled with these too probes and PH is not connected at moment.

I have a level sensor and the timeout is disabled. And i have tried disconecting the sensor.

I have no Reminders set at all....and havnt even changed anything under this menu since i got the monitor.( i've only had the profilux a week)

I have installed the latest display softwear for PC and firmwear.

Not shure what other info anyone may need to shoot some sudgestions.

I know its gunna be something simple i've missed...

Thanks
Mick

in Probes/Sensor Controls > Level

Is Timeoverdue Water 1 checked? I have notices that if the alarm comes on, it will triger the alarm, ring the buzzer but not diplay the alarm light. if so hot the "Reser Errors" and it shold go away...

The other one could be that the temp probe is not inserted all the way in...

Sorry i didnt include that in my original post......nope its not checked and have checked my leads.

Thanks mate

The Temp is pluged into the bottom slot.

The Monitor was operating great no problems (i'm not meaning its not operating great now......i'm sure its something i've missed).

Last night i got up and the alarm was beeping....short beeps with about 5-10 sec intervals. i checked everything and couldnt see what was wrong so i turned the beeping off and went back to bed.

When i got up this mourning it was beeping constatly (i turned the alarm back on)

I've also tried putting the nominal temp to the actual temp aswell.

Tried unplugging tghe light stck and power bar.

Thanks
Mick

can you send to me by email your data and sensor files, I will upload to my unit tomorrow and take a look.

All found in file menu.

No probs

Will get down to it tomorrow for you

Matthias if you se this in between time and see something I have missed please post it here, thanks!

Michael

is it maybe a ProfiLux Plus II eX with redox and conductivity?

If yes - deactivate these 2 inputs, because ProfiLux assumes a probe error if there is no probe present

Another idea: go to level control and check if there is an error - if yes confirm it and deactivate level control and time overdue check

Nope dont have redox or conductivity.

level sensor hasnt tripped. Got "timeout activates alarm" unchecked.

PH probe is not plugged in....(i need to calibrate it) alarm is disabled on this....the porofilux has been running without the Ph probe for a few days and then the alarm just started.

I'm thinking its a value ive missed or set incorectly cause as i said it started at some point in the night. The one thing i did think was strange was when i first noticed it, it was an intermitted alarm sound. Then when i woke next morning it was a constant beep.

Thanks
Mick

"PH probe is not plugged in"
-> then you must deactivate the pH-input

The alarm for defective (or not present) probes comes always, regardless from the alarm enabled-setting.

The alarm enabled-setting determines only if a too high or too low reading should produce an alarm.

YEP! That was it.

What through me was that the alarm "just started" it was enabled and didnt "alarm" for a couple of days.

And of cause i didnt see to try that, my eyes must have skimmed over that setting a hundred times and just never saw it.

New it was something i was missing.

Thanks guys for your help on this much appreciated

Mick
