I dont know why, but I really like this picture. I cant wait until I get my digital SLR, as I'd really like to be able to get some good scenery shots that my point and shoot just cant quite capture.
This shot is probably more "cool" if you know the area. That is Turnagain Arm, which typically never has still water. The tides vary so much there that we have what are called boar tides, which means the water is coming in so fast that it actually starts stacking up, and you get a continuous wave 1-5' high that flows all the way down it. These waves can last for over an hour and cover 25 miles... pretty crazy.
