hey there.
i have an algae-blenny, and its the 3rd of its kind i own. they usually eat alot, grow like crazy with big bellies, and all of a sudden die of what seems starvation in front of a filled foodbowl as threre is algae growing and pellets fed.
now mine has doubled its size, was always big bellied and eating like a pig. now for 2 weeks its sides have sunken in, belly still there but smaller and looking strange, and the whole fish looks skinny. when i look at the belly, i see movement, like bowel peristaltics.
these observations make me think that all of these blennies might have been purchased with worms in their guts. now to save the one i have now, whats the best way to treat him? as a medschool student i could organize human drugs, like mebendazole or similar. is there a way to treat him with something like this or is there a marine fish treatment available?
any ideas/comments would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.
greetings martin
