Do you have a link for the product? If it's one of the chemical algae controllers, I wouldn't use it, personally, because I'm not sure what all it might affect.

It is a nitrite and nitrate reducer. I don't like dosing chemicals so I don't use it but others have posted about it.

For algae control. Monitor and lower your phosphates, add a cleanup crew, adjust your flow, shorten your lighting schedule, feed less. All of these things will help. Also adding a refugium, but that is more costly.

Allenford- the question was on the product- i already have done all the above- except the refugium, and I don't "starve" my tank. I would like to hear from anyone who has used the product in a reef tank. Thanks.
