The Cyano may have gotten a foothold when you were carbon dosing but was somewhat out competed for available dissolved organics by the carbon induced bacteria. Now that you have stopped carbon dosing and that bacteria is gone, the Cyano has no competition and is taking over. It's really about DOC not inorganic N&P when it comes to controlling Cyano outbreaks. That's why I asked about the skimmer and GAC.
However, if your skimmer is effective, the GAC is changed often enough, you do water changes, your bioload isn't too high, and you still have uncontrolled Cyano, you might try use Chemiclean. If the Cyano started when you were carbon dosing, it might not return once the chemiclean does its job. I used it once. It worked, the Cyano hasn't returned, and it didn't hurt my corals. Be sure you follow the directions.
