This is an ongoing issue for me, can anyone identify this? Will a tang or lawnmower blenny eat this stuff or no? My cleanup crew will not touch it, I also have an urchin and he wont touch this.

Clean up crew:
turbo snail
bumble bee's
red leg's
urchin

nitrates and phosphates are zero

I am running a carbon reactor and a gfo reactor and a protien skimmer.

Thank you in advance!!

Cant iD it but I used to have algea like it. What helped me was cuc, gfo, water changes, feed less for a while, and best thing was get a toothbrush and scrape off any you see and anything that starts to grow.

try switching to bio pellets before your tank becomes stocked with lots of coral. Buy a few tangs as well.

what really help me with algae outbreak ,was lots of water changes ,scrubbing the rock ,and using chemi pure elite... tank has never looked better..i did also change salt .IO to RC. but I think ..it really was not what change it ..

I am not running chaeto yet, but I do want to get some I just picked up a light for it. I have also been having temp swing from 77-83 but I have just added a chiller. I think my next plan of attack is a yellow tang.
