Algae scrubber lights

any other suggestions? preferably not on ebay, im going to make an acrylic 6x5 inch box hanging vertical with the water running from my drain through the scrubber and into another acrylic box with a filter sock in the bottom. hopefully that makes sense as far as visualizing it.

I ordered two of the eBay ones but in the 12v version. Should have them tomorrow. I then got a 12v 3amp power supply.

You just have to add plug ends to the lights, they come as bare wire ends.

the 10w are 3.25" x 4.5" There is also a 4500k 10w that works well also, I like a 50/50 with the 4500k, and the pink. The 4500k are about 5 bucks and the pink 20$.

Got mine today...

Corey,

Check out post number #6884 in the basics thread (here is a link to page #276, the post is a few down the page).
http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1977420&page=276

It explains LED lights and how you should size them to your screen. Pretty much you should be wary of the lights like the ones in the links you posted as their actual draw will possibly be a lot less than what they claim, and the intensity needed might not be there.

I have similar lights as FullBoreReefer ready to go for when I finally build my scrubber but obviously cant comment on how well they work as I have yet to get it all together.

Also keep in mind there is two different "pink" chips, please look at the chip spec.. to make sure your getting the ones you want..Its hard to tell from your photo but it looks like those have 8 red 660nm and one 450nm. I have only test the 6x 660nm and 3 x450nm.
