I'm going to guess Lobophora Variegata. Not sure about controls.

After browsing some pictures your guess looks to be correct. Now I just have to find a way to get rid of it.

I have the same stuff and would also like to know how to get rid of it. It is a slow encrusting algae that is almost impossible to remove manually. I'm almost to the point of cooking all my rock.
