Algae

I think its a red grape algae. People call it a kind of caulerpa - and Marcye correct me if I'm wrong but its actually Botryocladia Sp?

Hmmm....not familiar with that. I like the way the Tangs attach the stuff Marcye grows.
 
WEll if it works for her I know she knows what she is doing. I have heard of red gracilia being a good source of nutrients. I think there is a company, maybe Kent, that sells it. I will see what I can find.
 
I was once given this at a reef club meeting where I used to live in Jacksonville, the NFMAS, and my Naso loved this stuff. I had in growing in my fuge and grew pretty easy. Maybe something to consider.
 
What you linked above pretty much looks like it mflamb. Graciliaria if i spelled it right i think is more of a brown algae.

If you want tangs to eat it go with the red grape, if you're just looking for a good exporter i recommend chaeto simply because it grows well without any sexual stages like caulerpa that can funk-di-fy your tank :)
