This may sound a little backwards to how most people think but I am looking to add some algea/seaweed to my 220 fish only tank. That said, it needs to be something that tangs wont eat because I have 5 tangs in the tank.

Im looking to add some colour to the tank aswell as the movement.

Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks

Most things that are calcified, they probably won't eat. Maybe you can try halimeda or pencil cap. They prob won't eat chaeto either, but I don't think you would want that floating around your tank.

I have some red flame algae that my tangs won't touch, but my foxface will eat it if there isn't anything else around. My tangs gobble up chaeto and caulerpa.

Nope, dont want bryopsis, no pest algea, just the neat weedy looking stuff. I have tried chaeto and it didnt last long at all. Ill look for some caulerpa.

I will add some softies and leather but Id like an angel so they may end up food.

The caulerpa will get eaten pretty quickly.

Most well-fed angels won't touch leathers, it is a more noxious softy and they don't like that. Xenia will likely become a snack though.
