I have been in Saltwater Reef Aquaria for over 30 years and this is my first fight with something that is a bit alien to me. This is something that forms a gelatinous slime that rises to the surface and has air pockets. I put this under the scope and it is appears to be non-motile but several shapes come up. One is the mass and the other is the outer edge or clear layer. Chrysophytes have been mentioned but Phaeocystis are another. I am considering dosing other Phyto to try and compete with this. I am open to suggestions.
