The way I think an acquisition of tech would work for something like this is that the developer would need to fully integrate the technology into the Apex to get his full contractual compensation, at least that's how I would have set that deal up if I was Apex. Some money now and the remainder when it works.

The reefbreeders article said that the guy who invented it will just be a consultant and that's it. So basically don't hold your breath for this coming out any time soon.

Actually, there is a video of it in action and it seems very promising. It's a very crude version, but who knows the actual cost or final product. It actually is able to be used with Apex monitoring to track as shown in the video.

I doubt they'll share but someone will end up copying it. That's like Apple sharing tech with Microsoft.
