Joe, these stories are why I am still reading about ich. I am suggesting that Quarantine based on visual inspection of the fish is definitely not an absolute. The guy posted about earlier has had his reef tank for 8 years with no additions. He owns an LFS and really only put the tank up for his wife. It is mostly softies and a Regal tang and others..... His Tang gets an outbreak once a year. The other fish inhabitants do not seem affected. In an earlier post I suggested some things aren't clear about ich. Such as levels of fish immunity. I believe you.

Your post packed a lot of different topics. It is a post of broad-sweeping generalities that makes 'It otherwise.'

One reason I have been a member and only a lurker is because of individuals like you. I just isn't smaatt enuff to analyzze my sources.... You obviously have an incredible intellect.
