I have a 90 Gallon DT that recently was infected with ich, I set up a QT 39 gallons and started treating with copper immediately. I have lost 6 of the 9 fish that I had. The fish that have died are 2 yellow tale blue damsels, 1 Clown, 1 Yellow Tang, 1 Kuran Angel, 1 Flame Angel. The fish that are still alive are 1 Clown, 1 Humu Trigger, 1 Valentini Puffer. My temp is 82 my Salinity is 1.022 nitrates are around 20 and ammonia and nitrites are 0 and the copper is at .6 What can i do to keep my last 3 alive its unbelievably stressful losing all these fish and my family will be especially devastated if are little puffer does not make it please any help would be appreciated thank you.

I had the same problem with my tank. had ich so i added ich medications. The next morning I go to my Tank having all but one fish dead. It had to be the medication. So i would never do that again. Then a little while later with my new stock i got ich again and tried copper. Same thing. Within a couple hours though this time. I finally decided i would not go down the route of treating it. So i started mixing garlic juice with the frozen mysis shrimp. My blue tang had ich. as soon as i started using this within a couple days i was ich free. i make sure i feed them garlic mixed food every couple days. have been ich free for 6 months now :) try it!
good luck!

Angels, particularly flames, can be very sensitive to copper, so that may explain their demise. You are not using an ammonia detoxifier (like Prime) are you?

Are you absolutely sure that what your fish have is ich?
Ich normally doesn't kill fast and is easily and quickly brought under control with relatively simple measures.
For it to be deadly you fish have to be heavily infected or have complications like secondary bacterial infections.

What are the visible symptoms and how do the fish behave?

I would consider copper levels of 0.6 ppt as too high and harmful for fish, especially species that are sensitive to copper like angels and butterflies.

Your temperature is also a bit on the high side, especially for sick fish. I would lower it to somewhere between 76 and 78°F. Lower temperatures allow for more dissolved oxygen in the water and make breathing easier for the fish.

If your fish are getting sicker despite the copper treatment there are a couple of options:
It isn't ich but something else that can't be treated with copper. Brooklynella would be my first guess.
Your copper levels are either too low to kill ich or too high and toxic for your fish. From your post I would assume the latter. How often do you measure your copper levels?

For me copper would not be the treatment of choice against ich because it is just not an easy or safe ich treatment and very toxic to the fish.
TTM, hyposalinity or a combination of both is more reliable and less risky for the fish.
