almost epic fail and nuke

Woke up yesterday at 10am to find apartment a little warm. The thermostat was blank no AC. Had just had new ac unit installed 2 months ago. Turns out the stupid thermostat runs off AA batteries and batteries died. Luck was home and not to hot yesterday or would have been a nuke as tank got to 83.
Doing start looking at a APEX monitor system to help prevent this again with emails and text alerts.

Controllers connected to the internet are worth the cost! I look at them as an insurance policy.

I would watch that thermostat carefully. That is WAY fast to lose two AA batteries. I had a new AC installed 2 years ago, and the "low battery" light started blinking last month... It took me a week to change them, and it still hadn't "died"...

The thermostat is not new just ac. Been in apart for 2 years so batteries lasted at least that long. Will start changing them once year for good measure

83 deess for a tank is nothing, when it gets up to 88-89 id worry
