Ocellaris are a lot less risky to pair up than Maroons are.

It might even be easier to wait another month or so for your Percula to grow a bit, then add a smaller clown.

this is why im confused....i had another LFS guy say that it should be bigger then the one in my tank??

Getting a bigger one could work, but getting a smaller one will work.

LFS dont know anything but a smaller perc is the way to go.

More often than not, the LFS is just trying to make a sale, or legitimately doesn't know what they are talking about.

I had one tell me that not only were all clownfish born female, but that I absolutely HAD to keep them singularly or in a group of three, or they would fight to the death.

I don't ask questions at that particular LFS anymore.

I hate to delay it farther, but you really should QT first.

I'd hate to see that adding a new clown introduced a parasite that ended up killing them both.

I didn't have one either, until I bought my clowns and they both ended up being sick.

Yeah...it's not been a walk in the park for me to jumble together a QT tank in my dorm room.

It's gonna be even more fun to move it all home...ugh.
