If the DC output tip is the correct size it should work, but it is 16V so the pump will be a little weaker.

Hit an electronics supply store and get one with the correct voltage, amperage and current (AC or DC). Running motors on lower voltage and amperage is hard on them.

The pump can be run safely on anything from 12-24V. We also sell the factory power supply for pretty much the same as you can find them at electronics stores, in town they range from $40-$70 and the factory one with 12,18 and 24V settings is about $57. The wattage and amperage of that power supply is actually slightly higher than our power supply so there is no issue there. Ours is 50W.
