alternating between pumps w/7094

Roger ive been trying to get the 7094 i have to swtich the two pumps on and off alternantley, to create a back and forth motion across the width of the tank, like the tidal simulation but with a short period, couple minutes...so i tried fiollwoing the directions and it seems like both pumps stay on the whole time./

On the 7094 you need to use the first and last sockets and in tide mode the lights should show 1 and 3 sockets on and then 2 and 4. If this is not happening, the mode switch may be broken. If the controller does show this but the pumps don't repsond this way, a cable is likely bad or has a loose connection.
