Alveopora vs Goniopora

Saw an Alveopora at a LFS recently. Have seen posts that say that they aren't as difficult as Goniopora (which most posts say are impossible long term), posts that say they are just as difficult....
Anyone have opinions on this? I have a lot more research to do before I think about attempting it, but was hoping to hear about some real experiences here....If you've had one, what was your experience with it?

So, i see this has been viewed quite a few times, but no one has chosen to comment.... is that because no one has experience to share, or is it that i unknowingly asked an assinine question?

there is a great thread titled "goniopora... impossible to keep?" it has an article about someone who keeps them alive long term. it is a great read, to summerize it says extensive feeding is needed for goni to survive. i have try several of both types and they always die, but i never directly feed them like the article suggest.

I know they are similiar...but from your reply..are they pretty much interchangable then? There can be pretty drastic differences between genuses, and there can also be virtually no differences... is the implication here that the latter applies? (Even if i'm using genus incorrectly)
i will check out the article regardless tho...thanks for the heads up on it and the thread..

my feeling is that they are the same! alveopora looks different but die the same...i'm not saying they are 100% impossible to keep, but i have tried many different types including a red branching alveopora that a marine biologist/ lfs owner told me was easy to keep..it died like all the others. my cousin was bragging about his a week ago, saying his is doing great. he has had it for about 2 months....i just smiled and said, "wow that's great."
