If you need a really big reservoir, you CAN go garage-sale hopping for a really nice-looking entertainment armoire, then gut it and set it beside your tank: 32 gallon Brute Rubbermaid trashcan on rollers (are made to fit that can). Which can also deliver kalk, before your tank needs a full-on calcium reactor. That way you've got your whole underside free for other gear.

And thanks for the help everyone! The tank and stand were a fairly spontaneous purchase so I'm currently researching all of my gear requirement placement options and all things relating to starting and keeping a large tank! I did clean the glass and painted the stand. I'm still working out what I can afford to work on next... I'm going to DIY as much as I can for this but would like to fully automate everything using an apex controller so I may be saving for a bit!
