Am I going to have trouble with Fiji Pink Sand?

Blowing around. I've seen a few SPS tanks set up with this sand. I was thinking of using 40lbs and about 10lbs of the special grade for a 50 gallon tank.

i use it in my 160 peninsula does fine occasionally the under tow from my vortechs will kick up a little sand tornado under them but sand stays put and its pretty

i cant believe i just said "pretty"

i have it in mine and it gets blown everywhere...im using 3x tunze 6105

i love mine. just move your vortechs towards the top of the tank and it will be fine. best looking sand there is imo.

i will have 3 mp10's in there. we'll see. I just ordered 60lbs of the pink and 15 of the special grade. I guess this will be more of a DSB.

I think that's what I had it blew all over but I have an 18" tank with a lot of flow so it was really hard to adjust not to blow around.

Get yourself some Tropic Eden Reef flakes. Stuff is awesome...and no blowing around.

i looked at the reef flakes but it was too big. I like the look of finer sand. although the fiji pink is supposed to be .05-1.5mm

i use it too. no problem with blowing. 3 plus inchs and 4 mp40s
