Am I looking for a fight?

I have a royal gramma now and was considering adding a six line wrasse to the tank as well. Am I going to see WWIII break out?

Fight. IME the Royal Gramma is a lot of talk and is also much slower than the six line. I believe he'll be killed by the six line... getting a Royal Gramma that is much larger than the wrasse will only buy time until the inevitable.

Pick something besides a sixline. Id chose somethign besides a wrasse...that isnt much swimming room.

As for the Royal Gramma, very docile but just like thier hole and protect it. I just put my RG in with my clown pair which have shown a mild form of agression but I put my RG in and payed him no mind.

I won't ever have a six-line again. They are less than delightful. :)

How about a small blenny, like a bicolor?

I put a pair of percula and the RG in the tank at the same time. They get along 95% of the time. Occasionally the RG will get a little protective of his hole and poke of the clowns. Or....wish I could get a picture of this.....he will open his mouth all the way open and swim at the clowns in like slow motion until they dart away. Its pretty funny.

Just looking for a few more options to add to the tank. I and on the fence with a flame angel since I have had a couple that pecked at my corals and one that never touched them previously. May see if I can get a small one and get it food trained. Red Hawk fish is another one on my lists of likes.

Angel wouldnt be happy in your tank. Really on the small side. I wouldnt put an angel in something smaller than 40 gallons.

Hawkfish would be fine, as its not a big swimmer and as long as you dont have any shrimp or crabs you should be fine with that.

Cleaner shrimp and two emerald crabs.

Cleaner shrimp would be my only worry, although he's medium size. Two emeralds are about 1-1/2".

Mine does the SAME thing! it is really funny. I cant believe how big they can make their mouth lol I had him chase my bicolor chromis when he would get close to her cave. My RG and Perculas get along really well though.

The six line wrasse is also known as likes-to-fight fish in some circles. They are commonly found in home aquaria wearing TapOut t-shirts, backwards baseball caps and sporting tribal finband tattoos.

Extreme caution should be exercised with this species.
